Aidan Marston William

Three Years Old !

Links to previous updates

When I started posting pictures of Aidan on the web, we measured his age in months. Now he's three years old. Three. Years. Old. I still can't believe it. He's getting tall, and has left infancy and toddlerhood behind him. Now he's a boy, and a fun one at that.

A lot has gone on since the last update - his third birthday, a trip to Europe, a trip to New England. (This is one well-travelled kid, we think he has around 50,000 air miles under his belt by now.) I can't do it all justice in one page, but here are some highlights.

But first, before all that, how about a few cross generational pictures:

Aidan, 2007, and Jen, circa 1973. Yeah, I'd say he gets his looks from his mommy

Ah, helping in the garden, what a good little boy...

Ready to make his fortune as a professional triangle player

Aidan, you look marvelous!

Aidan's been quite the social host this year. Ruth and Maggie have both enjoyed dinner at the best table in the house

Happy Birthday Aidan! He had been building up to this for months. Seems like every day there'd be some sentence that would start with "When I'm three..." Since early in the year he'd been telling us how his birthday wouldd go, blowing out candles, opening presents, singing Happy Birthday. At last it came, and he blew out the candles like a champ

During the party, Aidan and his posse decide to go off on an adventure up the hill at the park. Who knows what they were looking for, but they sure moved with purpose

Aidan's favorite birthday gift - a laptop, just like mommy's. (Okay, so Jen's did not come with pop-up Pooh figures, but I bet she secretly wishes it did.)

"Hmmm, one piece left, one space left...it's just crazy enough to work!"

Truck Day at the Imagination Station, Aidan gets to drive the city bus

Woah, long way down!

And soccer again in New Hampshire. Check out that form, my boy's gonna be a soccer star!

If there's anything Aidan loves, it's meeting new kids and sampling their toys. These toys belong to cousin Jasmine.

"Hang on back there, it's gonna be a wild ride!"

It's neck-and-neck in this hotly contested one-lap pool race with Grandma

Out on the lake, Aidan decides it'd be better if he steered the boat

Now that's some serious footwear

Alas, after all these trips, all the friends and relatives, one always has to say goodbye. Aidan is not a fan of goodbyes.

July, 2004 vs. June, 2007. Wow.
